THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, SPECIAL OPENINGS AND GUIDED TOURS ARE AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST.
The Leventina Museum invites you to choose from:
PERMANENT EXHIBITION TOUR “Does a Leventina Identity Exist Today?”
How do you tell the story of a culture, define a people, and determine who belongs to an ethnicity? Who decides? What are the criteria that determine a person’s membership in a particular group?
These questions serve as the starting point for the tour, prompting you to ask whether a “Leventina identity” exists.
Through encounters with the people of yesterday and today, the symbols, the ways of life, and the history of the valley, each visitor will find their own answers.

You can climb the hill where you’ll find the remains of an ancient castle and the 12th?century Santa Maria church. From there, you’ll enjoy an unmissable view of Giornico, its grottos, and vineyards. FAIDO DURING THE BELLE ÉPOQUE

Starting from the old hotels and villas of that prosperous era, the route winds through the village streets or along the panoramic “Lazzaroni Trail,” popular with tourists of the time.
