Explanation
The Campo Blenio Saracino path, a circular trail which is not particularly difficult, is ideal for a good walk in the winter landscape of the sun-drenched Blenio Valley, the ideal location typically chosen by those who wish to spend a snowy day with their families.
The route starts near the skiing school of Campo Blenio and follows a dirt road heading north to the wonderful Pineta Saracino. If you reverse your direction, you reach Ghirone (Aquilesco). From Ghirone, you then continue along the path that leads back to Campo Blenio.
The route, which is suitable both for adults and children, runs through a very interesting natural environment at the start of the path that leads to the plateau of the Greina. The presence of squirrels and other wild animals living in the woods and in the clearings adds to the magic and enchantment of the muffled silence of the Pineta Saracino. If you look carefully, you will notice the many tracks left by roe deer, deer and hares which often come to drink at the banks of the Brenno river.
Campo Blenio is a small paradise for families. The staff of the local section of Swiss Ski & Snowboard School will be happy to help your children take their first steps on the snow, also with skis on their feet!
