This simple but very pleasant mountain walk is truly the ideal type of itinerary for a Sunday with friends or family.

The path starts from the Gorda hut, which stands on a large and sunny pasture accessible by car via the forest road.

Then follow the dirt road for about a hundred meters leading to the alpine pasture, then start the pleasant ascent that in just under an hour leads to the top of the mountain.

From here the trail becomes flatter, and the last 300 meters are traveled on the wide ridge terrace leading to the "Nest".

The view is spectacular, especially of the Adula massif and the valley floor.

The return follows the same stretch as the outward journey and a stop at the Gorda hut is a must to enjoy some good local dishes or a cool drink, comfortably seated on the terrace while the children play in the surrounding meadows.

During the winter, it is possible to follow the groomed winter trail starting from Pianezza or Camperio, first reaching the hut and then the summit.

In the summer and autumn period, star observation nights are held at the hut, and soon a new astronomical observatory will be established.
