Imagine walking in the mountains – more specifically, in the Swiss Alps – and coming across owls, witches and dragons; imagine hearing the wind blowing, by turns gently and powerfully; imagine, finally, hearing jazz music in the distance – so unusual in this magnificent Alpine setting, yet perfectly integrated.

Sujazzstiva is all of this: a jazz quartet and a classic wind quintet come together to tell the legends and fairy tales of Italian-speaking Switzerland through music. As well as showcasing the infinite expressive possibilities of chamber music, the nonet offers a vivid example of musical fusion, perfect for capturing all the facets of the mountain environment.
