Launch from Mornera, Bellinzona’s Signature Flight

At 1,300?m in altitude, Mornera is one of Ticino’s most popular paragliding launch points. Easily reachable in a few minutes by cable car from Monte Carasso, it offers spectacular views over the Magadino Plain, the Bellinzona Fortress and the side valleys.

The launch takes place from a wide alpine meadow, ideal for experienced pilots. Thanks to favourable thermals, Mornera often allows for long and stable flights, gently gliding down to the plains around Bellinzona. From Mornera, you can even make long-distance flights of up to 200?km, reaching Italy (Verbania area) or heading north.
