Take off from Lumino

The Parusciana launch site, above Lumino (Bellinzona area), is located at 1,218 m a.s.l. and is easily accessible by cable car followed by a short 10-minute walk to the launch zone. Set in a sunny clearing with wide views over the Magadino Plain and Bellinzona, it offers ideal conditions especially for evening flights in the summer: the south-westerly wind creates dynamic effects perfect for prolonged, relaxing glides.

The launch is rated easy/medium after 12:00, when more stable thermal currents set in. The terrain and microclimate make it very popular with both tandem and solo SHV/FSVL pilots.
