Cableway Airolo-Pesciüm - Summer

From Airolo, a quick five-minute cable car ride whisks you up to Pesciüm, where you can take in spectacular views of the surrounding peaks. You can also continue your journey up to Sasso della Boggia, soaring to an altitude of 2,065 metres. Waiting for you here is the panoramic swing: enjoy a gentle sway while admiring the stunning Gotthard massif. Created in partnership with Swing the World and the Regional Tourism Organisation, it is open in both summer and winter. At both Sasso della Boggia and Pesciüm, you will find deckchairs where you can stretch your legs after a hike or simply unwind and soak up the sun.
The Airolo-Pesciüm resort is the starting point for numerous hiking trails winding in various directions. You can follow the shaded and botanically diverse Sentiero Alto del Tremorgio, passing through Alpe di Ravina and the hamlet of Giovett before reaching Lake Tremorgio. Alternatively, immerse yourself in the nature of the Bedretto Valley along the Strada degli Alpi, exploring a region that opens up right in front of the Gotthard massif.

The Airolo Bike Park also awaits you with over 22 km of trails. The tracks cater to everyone, from pure adrenaline seekers to beginners tackling obstacles and roots for the first time. For younger riders, there is a pump track at the bottom station of the cable car, which is also perfect for scooters and skateboards. Thanks to a charging station in Pesciüm, the resort is e-bike friendly, boasting nearly 25 km of dedicated routes for electric bike exploration. Where you find the ski rental in winter, summer brings a bike shop fully stocked with bikes and accessories, as well as a bike wash and a TCS SOS service station to keep your bike in top shape.

When lunch rolls around and hunger strikes, stop off at one of the many mountain restaurants to sample local dishes and recharge your batteries. In Pesciüm, you will find La Stüa restaurant. Every day, the kitchen serves up carefully prepared local products, bringing out the authentic flavours of traditional mountain cuisine. Right next to the valley station, La Chièuna bar awaits you, a popular gathering spot for sports fans and locals from the Upper Leventina. Enjoy sandwiches, snacks, drinks, aperitifs, and everything you need for lunch or an après-bike session in good company.
