Explanation
The Lukmanier region is traversed by 180 km of 5143 trails. About 70 km of these have been chosen as nature trails, allowing visitors to discover the natural wonders of this beautiful region.
The Lukmanier Alps Trail is a circular trail that allows visitors to discover the region's alpine pastures.
Setting off from Acquacalda, follow the designated sign number 7 to reach the various old and new alps of Alpe Pian Segno, Alpe Gana, Alpe Croce, Alpe Pertusio, Alpe Casaccia, Alpe Sanprou and Alpe Pozzetta in succession.
Alpe Pian Segno, Alpe Casaccia, Alpe Pertusio and Alpe Croce are still in operation which makes it possible to purchase their dairy products directly.
Along the way, discover traditional stone-roofed cottages, characteristic fountains, mobile milking carts, limestone walls under which the Brenno river originates (Alpe Pertusio) as well
as walking along the Selvasecca Forest Reserve: the largest stone pine forest south of the Alps.

Montagnepulite: This project was born to promote an effective management and sustainable use of mountain huts in Ticino, and in particular the litter management. The responsible management of litter in the mountains is a matter of common sense. We can all contribute: www.montagnepulite.ch
