Explanation
The route starts at Camperio Alta and descends through the hamlet of Camperio to reach the Lukmanier trail.
It then climbs up towards Sacc and at the turnoff for Monte di Pü, it heads in the direction of Dötra passing through Bolla del Corno, Bollette to reach the Dötra region (1768 m a.s.l.), the highest point and destination of the itinerary.
From the magnificent terrace of Dötra continue on to Anveuda: here is visual evidence of the transformation of high-altitude forests into alpine pastures that took place between 1000 and 1200 A.D., when the lower-altitude agricultural area was no longer sufficient to feed the population. From the cleared land, the farmers created meadows, pastures and fields for cultivating rye as a bread grain and hemp as a source of textile fibres.
Due to the scarcity of fertiliser, most of the meadows were cut only once every two years, which resulted in particularly species-rich meadows.
The presence of the ancient fields can be seen in Anvéuda, evidenced by the terracing still visible to the east of the hamlet.
The route continues downhill to Marzanei, following the old mule track and descending to Camperio.
Today, an interconnection project promoted by the Dötra Foundation ensures that the valuable areas of flora and fauna between Anvéuda and Dötra are ecologically connected to each other and the mosaic of environments is preserved and improved. Thanks to the work of the farmers who manage these areas, hay meadows frequented by whinchat birds and very valuable dry meadows characterised by a particularly rich and varied flora thus survive.

Tips and suggestions
Montagnepulite: This project was born to promote an effective management and sustainable use of mountain huts in Ticino, and in particular the litter management. The responsible management of litter in the mountains is a matter of common sense. We can all contribute: www.montagnepulite.ch
From Anvéuda you can take a deviation and reach the beautiful Pizzo Rossetto viewpoint (2.57 km - 1h20).
