BELLINZONE ACCORDION ORCHESTRA
The Bellinzonese Accordion Orchestra boasts nearly 60 years of history and continues to perform with the same passion as ever. Since 2003, its direction has been entrusted to Maestro Paolo Vignani, Full Professor and Chair of Accordion at the "Giuseppe Verdi" Conservatory in Milan, as well as a renowned concert performer. Under his guidance, the Orchestra has achieved levels of excellence, consistently demonstrated in the high level of difficulty and meticulous execution of the pieces it performs.
SERGIO SCAPPINI
Since 1984, he has held the first chair of accordion in Italy at the "Gioachino Rossini" Conservatory in Pesaro, and was a full professor at the "Giuseppe Verdi" Conservatory in Milan until 2024. He has performed extensively as a soloist, chamber musician, and accordion soloist with prestigious ensembles, including the Orchestra del Teatro alla Scala in Milan, the Sanremo Symphony Orchestra, and the Verdi Orchestra in Milan. He was the spokesperson for the world's first virtual accordion, the "Roland," and musical director of the "Bugarievo." He won the World Accordion Trophy and the stage accordionist competition at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan.
