The high trail starts from Loderio and proceeds always at high altitude, touching mountains, pastures and huts and offering the hiker a bird's eye view over the entire valley.

An excursion of wide panoramas, unusual views and villages seen in their entire and detailed configuration.

The excursion, divided into two stages, is punctually interesting in all its progress between the evidence of a life that was active here and the signs of a nature always ready to amaze with its beauty.

    1st stage

The first stretch that climbs from Loderio is the most demanding part of the excursion. At Sosto you will find the path that leads to the Matro peak (2,176 m), made unmistakable by its antenna.

The route continues towards Püscett, from where the mountains give way to the alps of Garina, Tarch and Gualdo, while the pine forests alternate with the pastures, create suggestive contrasts of light and colour.

From the Gualdo meadow, the trail leads down to Cancorì, starting point for the chairlift to Leontica or Bassa di Nara where you can also have a refreshment break at the La Pernice restaurant.

At Bosco Negro you cross the path of Nara that, going uphill, reaches the pass of the same name and leads to Leventina or, going down, reaches Negrentino, Prugiasco and Acquarossa.

After Cambra, continue towards the Alpe di Pian Laghetto and then reach the Piandios hut, the destination of the first stage.

    2nd stage

The path passes through the Gorda hut and its homonymous alp; after the pinewood of Pian Cassinella, the path descends offering a splendid view of the pyramid of Sosto. After Rambött, it meets the ancient route that led from Ponto Valentino to the Lukmanier pass. Continuing along the high path, you reach Camperio, which has a precise place in the history of the valley thanks to its hospice present in documents since 1303, and then descend to Olivone, the final point of the hike.
