Explanation
This is why the route from Olivone-Posta up to Campo Blenio today has even greater charm. The wide path, halfway up, is where the gorge narrows and becomes even more attractive, passing through the hollows dug out by the ancestors of the region without the aid of any mechanical or technological means.
After crossing the gorge, reach the Töira Tunnel where the flat trail running alongside the road leads to the old Osteria Genziana in a few hundred metres.
We recommend following the path to the right of the river which leads through a cool, dense forest to the villages of Ghirone and Campo Blenio (which turns into a family-friendly ski resort in winter) passing through the Pineta Saracino pine forest and the Fattorie (with self-service) in the village.
Return to Olivone along the same path or by bus.
A route to encourage reflection on technological progress and what the Sosto Gorge once represented.
