Large information panels have been placed near 50 interesting spots – in front of impressive buildings, natural features and masterpieces of engineering - providing information about the past, present and future of the Gotthard region, the railway and the hiking trails, but also about the nature and culture of Leventina and the Reuss Valley.
The southern section of the Gotthard Trail is located in Leventina. The second stage starts in Giornico-Parodino, passes through San Pellegrino and Altirolo, before making its way back to Giornico. This trail offers stunning views of the Biaschina Gorge.
