From the locality All'Acqua, near the Novena Pass, the direct route to reach Capanna Piansecco is short and quite steep (required time: 1h).
This is a hut built only in 1995 and highly appreciated especially by families, also thanks to the short climb to reach it.
From the hut, various hikes can be taken into the magnificent mountain world. The area around Lake Pigne or the valley basin next to the hut is definitely recommended. The splendid nature invites you to stay a while and enjoy the stunning views.
Children will gladly make their first climbing attempts at the rock climbing gym, just a few meters from the hut. Here there are easy and already bolted routes dedicated specifically to children. But adults also have plenty to enjoy! The wall of Poncione di Ruino is said to be comparable to the granite of Mont Blanc and offers the possibility to follow several very interesting routes.
