A circular route without particular difficulties, the Campo Blenio Saracino trail is an invitation to enjoy a beautiful winter walk in the sunny Valle di Blenio, a favored location for families who want to spend a day on the snow.
The itinerary starts near the Campo Blenio ski school and follows the farm road heading north to the splendid Saracin Pinewood. Reversing direction, you reach Ghirone (Aquilesco). From Ghirone you continue along the trail that leads back to Campo Blenio. Suitable for both children and adults, the route develops in an interesting natural setting at the entrance to the path leading to the Greina plateau.
The muffled atmosphere reigning in the Saracin Pinewood becomes magical due to the presence of squirrels and wild animals living in the forest and clearings. Attentive eyes will notice many tracks left by chamois, deer, and hares that often go to drink at the banks of the river Brenno.
Campo Blenio is a little paradise for families; the instructors of the local Swiss Ski School will be happy to accompany children in taking their first steps on the snow, also on skis!
