Trekking to the Capanna AlbagnoPhoto: Bellinzona e Valli Turismo
Explanation
This two-day hike begins at Monte Carasso, from where the initial climb takes you through the charming little settlement of Curzutt, which is well worth exploring.
Further along the trail you arrive in Mornera (1.350 m), which is also easily accessible via the Monte Carasso cable car (we recommend booking in advance).
From Mornera, you wind your way through spruce forest before reaching the Capanna Albagno refuge (1.870 m), where you can spend the night. On the second day, you descend towards the Alpe Arami, a little alpine gem nestling in the mountains above Gorduno. Here, you can admire the view over the area surrounding Bellinzona and Riviera from a spectacular terrace located at an altitude of 1.500 metres, which has been recently restored. Having fully absorbed the beauty of the alpine landscape, you descend to Gorduno where the hike ends. You can return to Monte Carasso using public transport.
Derived from the technical difficulty and the stamina requirements.

Tips and suggestions
Montagnepulite: This project was born to promote an effective management and sustainable use of mountain huts in Ticino, and in particular the litter management. The responsible management of litter in the mountains is a matter of common sense. We can all contribute: www.montagnepulite.ch
