Tarcisio Trenta's watercolour exhibition
A 90-year-old artist from Claro, Tarcisio Trenta lives and paints in Lugano, but has lived in his home town for many years.
He approached watercolour painting when he was nearing retirement, but art has always exerted a fatal attraction for him, ever since he started learning the technique of oil painting under the guidance of painter Max Läubli, who like him lived in Claro, in the 1970s.
He then attended numerous courses at various ateliers, until he decided to devote himself definitively to the watercolour technique, thanks to which he gives us images rich in colour and emotion, of landscapes 'photographed' all over the world, with a particular fondness for the Engadine, Morocco (the adopted homeland of one of his daughters), Norway and, of course, Ticino.
All it takes is a detail, which perhaps escapes the eye of most, to capture the attention of Tarcisio Trenta, who with a delicate hand manages to convey through his works the ability to 'read' nature and the environment around us.
The exhibition will be held in one of the rooms of the old municipal kindergarten of Claro, from 28 October (vernissage at 5 p.m., presentation by journalist Tarcisio Bullo) to 12 November, exclusively at weekends, from Friday to Sunday, from 2 to 5 p.m. Free admission. The artist will be present on Saturdays and Sundays. Other visits are possible by appointment (079 685 13 58).
