Stairways to heaven

The toughest vertical race in Europe. 1.2 km, 89% maximum slope, 790 m difference in height, 4261 steps.
 

The race takes place on the historic stairs of the Piotta-Ritom funicular.

HOW TO REACH US

By train: stop at Piotta and then about 1.5 km on foot

By car: highway A2 (E35), coming from the North, exit AIROLO (Exit 41); coming from the South, exit QUINTO (Exit 42). Then continue towards the village of Piotta and look for the signs "Piotta-Ritom funicular station".
