RECITAL 100 (1) X CALVINO
Bibliomedia offers a tribute to Italo Calvino (1923-1985) in the form of a recital, shortly before the centenary of his birth.
The event celebrates one of the most important Italian writers of the second half of the 20th century and among the most influential intellectuals of the century, who combined his literary activity with significant political, civil, and cultural commitment. Although he was primarily an author of novels and short stories, he also engaged with theater, cinema, music, art, and comics, maintaining a personal and coherent research path.
Emanuele Santoro performs at the lectern, reading some texts from the collection "I racconti" where the author masterfully expresses one of the three styles that distinguished his writing: neorealism. These stories deeply outline life experiences and the human soul with extraordinary descriptive ability. The readings are accompanied by music played by Claudia Klinzing on the accordion.
Emanuele Santoro, an actor and director, is the founder of the theater company e.s.teatro. He trained through workshops, studies, and courses ranging from Stanislavski-Strasberg techniques to Italian Commedia dell'Arte, from theatrical biomechanics (Mejerchol'd method) to storytelling, from voice-over to dubbing (he is an RSI voice). He has directed numerous theater productions and teaches acting techniques.
He combines recitals with theatrical performances: readings interpreted with live musical accompaniment. Claudia Klinzing, along with Giorgio Valli, founded the musical duo Tacalà (popular music, clowning, and shows).
