Filarmonica Mosaico and Filarmonica Alta Leventina - Concert

The Filarmonica Alta Leventina and the Filarmonica Mosaico reunite at the vecchia Vetreria (old glass factory) in Lodrino to present 'The Saga of Theodoric of Verona,' a cycle of symphonic poems composed by Matteo Manzolini, first performed worldwide by the same ensemble in 2022 and inspired by the form of the epic hero.

The orchestra, composed of more than 70 musicians, winds and percussion, interspersed with the stories of the "Minstrel" Roberto Albin, will bring to life a concert-show that will immerse the audience in medieval atmospheres with sacred chants, knights, dragons, giants, princesses, and an ethereal nature. All this will be accompanied by the projection of "thematic stained-glass mosaics" created by Martino Manzolini.

In the four cantos that make up the symphonic poem, some of the most popular adventures of King Theodoric of Verona will be staged, up to his final furious ride towards the volcano.

The concert is scheduled to begin at 8:30 PM.

The performance will be conducted by maestro Luca Medici. Admission is free, thanks to the generous financial support provided by the sponsor, Tenconi SA of Airolo.
