Concerto Jazz

The collaboration between Peo Alfonsi and Marco Santilli was born in the summer of 2023, thanks to the composition ‘Repetita iuvant’ commissioned to Santilli by the Vincenzo Vela Museum.

The five movements of this Suite are a eulogy to music and art that needs no words, even through pieces such as ‘Loquor ergo sum’ and ‘Horrorvacui’, which act as counterpoints to the others. In its transparency and essentiality, the clarinet-guitar ensemble is a combination that is particularly suited to this type of discourse, while at the same time proving to be a formation with a high ‘dynamic range’.
